Automotive Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. The Automotive Technician will perform repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently, utilizing advanced tools and systems such as ADAS, schematics, and electrical diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using specialized equipment to identify issues accurately.
• Perform repairs on various systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
• Execute mechanical repairs such as engine repairs, transmission rebuilds, and welding as needed.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks like alignment, wheel balancing, and component replacement.
• Interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Conduct vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
• Diagnose and repair advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to ensure proper functionality.
• Perform wheel alignments and other precision services to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain detailed service records and document all repairs performed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and recommending necessary services.

Experience

• Proven dealership experience or similar automotive service background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics tools and software is essential.
• Familiarity with schematics, ADAS calibration, and auto estimating is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools.
• Prior service technician experience demonstrating mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
