Automotive Technician

This is not a typical oil-change job. We’re building something new, and we’re looking for the right person to help us build it from the ground up.

WASHD is a fast-growing premium mobile automotive service company serving customers across Oʻahu. Through the WASHD App, customers can schedule a service and our team comes directly to their home, workplace, or parking garage.

In just over a year, we’ve grown from one WASHD van to four vans and have already served more than 1,000 customers.

Now, we’re launching our next service:

Mobile Oil Changes

We believe getting an oil change should be simple. Customers shouldn’t have to drop their car off for hours or spend their day sitting in a waiting room.

With WASHD, customers will be able to book an oil change directly through our app, and our team will come to them.

We’re looking for an experienced Automotive Technician / Mechanic who wants to help us build this new department from the ground up.

This person will initially help us develop the entire mobile oil-change system, including:

• Selecting the right tools and equipment
• Determining oil, filter, and product requirements
• Developing service procedures and SOPs
• Creating quality-control and safety standards
• Helping determine appropriate preventive-maintenance add-ons
• Building an efficient mobile workflow
• Training future WASHD oil-change technicians
• Helping us continuously improve the program as it grows

Long term, we want this person to become a leader within the department and help us train and develop a team of mobile preventive-maintenance technicians.

We’re excited about the potential of this service on Oʻahu, and we're looking for someone who wants to help build something—not just clock into another automotive job.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5+ years of automotive technician/mechanic experience
• ASE certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of oil, filters, fluids, vehicle maintenance, tools, and service procedures
• Comfortable helping create systems and procedures from scratch
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ambitious, motivated, and interested in growing with a young company
• Someone who wants more responsibility and opportunity than a traditional technician position

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated total compensation: $85,000–$125,000+ per year
• Base compensation + customer tips + performance/sales commission
• 4-day workweek
