Automotive Technician

Overview:
Tegeler Chevrolet in Sealy is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team. APPLY VIA INDEED, IN PERSON OR CALL 979 987 7900. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of automotive repair and maintenance tasks. Duties:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Perform automotive repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: engine repairs, transmission repairs, brake repairs, electrical system repairs, and suspension repairs

• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment

• Conduct vehicle inspections and provide recommendations for necessary repairs

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks

• Use hand tools and power tools to complete repair tasks

• Keep accurate records of all services performed on vehicles

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.

Requirements:

• Previous service technician experience requires or Technicians right out of Tech School

• ASE Certification strongly preferred

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time

• Strong automotive background

• Professional appearance and work ethic

• Excellent communication skills
