Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and other vehicle systems.
• Repair and maintain various vehicle components including powertrain systems, suspension systems, transmissions, and electrical wiring diagrams interpretation.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and brake repairs to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair equipment efficiently to execute repairs accurately.
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems effectively while adhering to safety standards.
• Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, estimated timeframes, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer service experience.
• Keep detailed service records and assist in auto estimating processes for repairs on GM vehicles or other makes as required.

Requirements

• Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical wiring diagrams interpretation, and vehicle suspension system repair.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and advanced diagnostic procedures for both gasoline and diesel engines.
• Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, ADAS technology, wheel alignment techniques, and vehicle transmission system repair.
• Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize automotive wiring diagrams for troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
• Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) are a plus.
