Automotive Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately.
• Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
• Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and tire rotations.
• Diagnose complex problems related to diesel engines, transmissions, and vehicle electrical systems utilizing schematics and technical manuals.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
• Interpret automotive schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, estimating costs accurately, and ensuring timely completion of work.

Experience

• Dealership experience or equivalent service technician experience highly preferred.
• Proven background in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance across various vehicle makes and models.
• Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle suspension system repair, wheel alignment procedures, and vehicle transmission system repair.
• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, and powertrain components.
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and technical proficiency in interpreting schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
