Automotive Technician/Service Manager

Overview

Lay’s Transmission Company, a locally owned and operated business celebrating our 70th year, is seeking an experienced automotive technician who is ready to take the next step into shop management.

Responsibilities

- Manage daily operations

• Hire, supervise and direct techs and mechanics

• Provide customer service in person and via phone

• Diagnosis and advise customers

• Scan and program computers

• Assist with repairs when needed

• Oversee parts ordering with office manager and head tech

• Ensure final quality checks and inspections

• Perform daily opening and closing

Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience
• Knowledge of automotive repair techniques and vehicle maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with automotive electrical systems
• Must have own tools
