A/V and Security Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in the A/V, security, and networking fields. This role is crucial in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of A/V, Access Control systems, CCTV, and computer networking. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as with others. The technician will need to possess a strong understanding of system design and the ability to detect and resolve technical issues efficiently.

After a short probationary period, a fully stocked company vehicle will be provided along with a company credit card. The company supplies large power tools, and testers.

Duties

• Install, configure, and maintain A/V, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of existing installations to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize remote access software to diagnose and resolve issues remotely when necessary.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions in system design.
• Telecommunicate with team members and clients to provide updates on project status and technical support.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and system configurations.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to low voltage systems including NEC compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in low voltage system installation and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of IP and networking principles.
• RTI, Control4 programming certified or equivalent a plus
• Familiarity with intrusion detection systems is a plus.
• Ability to detect issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Relevant certifications in low voltage technology or related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
• A strong commitment to safety practices while working on-site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
