Midas Online is looking for an AV Content Creator with pre-production and post-production skills. You’ll create video content for the agency and its clients, working from the initial concept and script through to the final edit.

This role suits someone who understands visual storytelling, enjoys creating for social media, and wants to develop their skills across content planning, production, and editing.

Your Responsibilities

Pre-Production

• Understand the brief, target audience, platform, and intended outcome before developing ideas.
• Research relevant content formats, trends, and visual references.
• Develop concepts for reels, video ads, brand stories, explainers, and service promotions.
• Write hooks, short scripts, on-screen text, and voiceover copy.
• Prepare storyboards, shot lists, and basic production plans.
• Coordinate the footage, assets, props, and other requirements needed for each video.

Production

• Set up basic camera or smartphone shoots, considering framing, lighting, and audio.
• Capture supporting footage, behind-the-scenes content, and simple product or office shots.
• Check recordings for composition, clarity, and sound quality.
• Organize and back up recorded material for editing.

Post-Production

• Edit footage into clear, engaging videos with a strong opening and purposeful pacing.
• Add captions, titles, transitions, music, sound effects, and basic motion graphics.
• Handle basic color correction, audio cleanup, and sound balancing.
• Adapt videos for different aspect ratios, platforms, and ad placements.
• Incorporate feedback while maintaining the approved concept and brand direction.
• Review final exports for spelling, audio levels, visual consistency, and technical quality.

AI Tools and Collaboration

• Use AI tools to support ideation, storyboarding, voiceovers, and editing where appropriate.
• Review AI-generated material for accuracy, quality, and brand suitability.
• Work with the social media and design teams to deliver content aligned with campaign objectives.
• Maintain organized project files, footage, assets, and versions.
• Manage assigned deadlines and communicate progress or production requirements early.

What You’ll Bring

• A relevant portfolio demonstrating your approach to storytelling and editing.
• Working proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or a comparable editing tool.
• An understanding of composition, pacing, sound, and social media video formats.
• Basic scripting skills and the ability to turn a brief into a clear content idea.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow different client brand guidelines.
• Clear communication, openness to feedback, and a willingness to learn.
• A qualification in Media Studies, Film, Multimedia, Communication, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with After Effects or basic motion graphics.
• Experience shooting with a smartphone or camera.
• Exposure to AI-assisted creative tools.
• Experience creating content for brands, campaigns, or personal channels.
