Our client is a California-based telecommunications and technology services company specializing in critical low-voltage infrastructure. The company provides consulting, design, project management, construction administration, and integration services across structured cabling, IT, security, access control, and audio visual systems.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced AV Engineer / Project Manager to manage commercial audiovisual projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeout.

This role requires a combination of technical AV engineering knowledge and project management experience. The successful candidate will review technical documentation, coordinate project requirements, support installation and programming activities, and manage project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage commercial AV projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeout.
• Review project drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, and related technical documentation.
• Coordinate AV installation activities and project requirements.
• Coordinate programming, procurement, submittals, and RFIs.
• Manage project schedules and coordinate activities with relevant stakeholders.
• Track and coordinate change orders.
• Support project documentation and technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal teams, installers, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Support projects through installation, programming, commissioning, and closeout.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

• 5+ years of experience in commercial AV engineering and/or project management.
• Experience managing or coordinating commercial AV projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial AV systems and technologies.
• Ability to review and interpret AV drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience working with BOMs, signal flow diagrams, and rack elevations.
• Experience coordinating installation, programming, procurement, submittals, and RFIs.
• Understanding of project schedules and change order processes.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS

• AVIXA CTS-D certification preferred.
• CTS certification also preferred.

They should be comfortable reviewing technical AV documentation, coordinating multiple project stakeholders, and supporting projects through installation, programming, commissioning, and closeout.
