AV Event Manager

About the role

The AV Event Manager oversees the delivery of audio-visual (AV) services for events, ensuring all AV operations, client requirements, and event objectives are met with excellence. The role manages client relationships, leads AV event teams, and directs the planning, execution, and evaluation of AV service delivery. This position works closely with the AV Systems Manager and Technical Creative Manager to align technology, creative solutions, and service delivery standards, providing clients with a seamless and engaging event experience. The role ensures that AV operations reflect high technical competency, operational readiness, and strong service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all AV requirements for events, ensuring setups align with client specifications and event objectives
• Plan and coordinate AV resources, schedules, and manpower for efficient event execution
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless event preparation and delivery
• Manage client communication from pre-event planning to post-event follow-up, ensuring expectations are aligned and met
• Provide professional technical guidance to clients to support decision-making and service satisfaction
• Build strong working relationships with event organisers, venue partners, and contractors
• Coordinate with the AV Systems Manager to review, assess, and adopt new AV technologies to enhance service quality
• Oversee technical readiness, ensuring equipment functionality, backup systems, and issue management procedures are in place
• Lead AV event teams during planning, setup, execution, and event breakdown
• Develop and implement training programs to strengthen technical skills and hospitality standards
