Title: AV Events Specialist

Location: Onsite 5x per week (NYC offices)

Type: Contract 12 months

One of our top clients is seeking an AV Events Specialist to join their workplace operations events team. This candidate will be providing AV infrastructure maintenance, technical event execution, and technical escalation support within the offices. This candidate will be responsible for setting up conference rooms, training rooms, and auditorium events. When this candidate isn’t implementing events, they will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the client’s conference rooms, digital signage, AV event spaces, and high-level tech support needs. The ideal candidate will have vast experience providing best of class customer service to internal and external stakeholders, maintaining AV infrastructure, and operating AV equipment during live events.

Key Competencies:

• Assist our help desk and on-site support teams with high ticket volumes.
• Have solid experience as a Live event technician, working closely with other team members across the region.
• Be confident working independently, in fast-paced dynamic environment involving live events, IPTV, video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Webex, MS Teams, etc.), training room management and general infrastructure support.
• Able to respond to changes in a short time frame.
• Meet with stakeholders to discuss audio, lighting, and video requirements.
• Be comfortable working on high profile events including vision/audio Mixing, camera framing, lighting, floor managing, racking cameras, and a good solid understanding of sophisticated AV events systems.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment demonstrating high energy, a sense of urgency and decisiveness.
• Trouble-shoot sophisticated audio, video, switching and control systems problems required.
• Able to operate successfully in a global landscape and have the dedication to move towards standardization and continuous improvement of processes.
• Have a broad understanding of all aspects of corporate AV needs.
• Able to demonstrate outstanding technical/troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience completing technical installation of AV technology, including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of Crestron systems.
• Experience in setup, test, calibrate and commission equipment and devices as required to build a fully functional AV system including video displays, display systems, screens, cameras, switchers, scalers, processors, transmitters, receivers, interfaces, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, controls, and other active and passive devices.
• Experience within Event Management: working with events team to ensure each event goes efficiently.
• A steadfast demeanor towards customer service
• A highly motivated, self-driven, proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with high profile guests and c-suite executives.
• Knowledge of Digital Signage, video processors, Crestron systems and corporate AV equipment.
• Solid experience of video conference tools and troubleshooting (Zoom, Webex, MS Teams, Vidyo, etc)
• Flexibility in work hours, dictated by event schedule and business needs.
• Would love to see Audio DSP, video processing, control system platform certifications (i.e., Biamp, Q-Sys, Extron, Christie, Crestron, AVIXA)
