AV Technical Coordinator / Collaboration Technology Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AV Technical Coordinator to serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, internal IT teams, managed service providers, and AV engineering resources. This is not a traditional hands-on AV engineering role. Instead, the ideal candidate will combine strong ProAV and collaboration technology expertise with exceptional communication, project coordination, stakeholder management, and service delivery skills.

This individual will help drive technical decisions, coordinate projects, manage escalations, and ensure seamless delivery of enterprise audiovisual and collaboration technology services across a large, complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Coordination & Service Delivery

• Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, IT teams, AV engineers, vendors, and support resources.
• Coordinate technical initiatives and AV-related projects from planning through completion.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.
• Drive issue resolution and ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Support enterprise AV strategy and operational excellence.

AV & Collaboration Technologies

• Support and coordinate enterprise AV and collaboration technology environments.
• Work with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, and related collaboration platforms.
• Assist with large-scale meetings, video conferencing, and broadcast events.
• Partner with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex AV issues.
• Coordinate upgrades, enhancements, and deployments of collaboration technologies.

Incident Management & Escalations

• Manage AV-related support escalations across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support teams.
• Coordinate troubleshooting efforts with IT, networking, vendors, and engineering resources.
• Track issues through resolution and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Help determine when incidents require engineering-level intervention.

Project Management

• Lead AV project coordination and stakeholder communications.
• Facilitate implementation planning, scheduling, and delivery activities.
• Manage project documentation, timelines, risks, and action items.
• Ensure successful execution of technology initiatives across multiple teams.

Required Qualifications

• Enterprise ProAV experience.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, or similar collaboration platforms.
• Experience coordinating or supporting AV environments within a corporate setting.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts including VLANs, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and follow-through skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AV project management experience.
• Managed services (MSP) experience.
• Experience supporting large enterprise collaboration environments.
• Global meeting, broadcast, or video conferencing experience.
• Experience working closely with corporate IT organizations.
• Vendor management and third-party coordination experience.
• Experience in complex enterprise environments.

Comp: $130,000 - $150,000K Annual Salary (DOE)
