AV Technician - Dartmouth, NS

We are currently seeking an experienced AV Technician to join our team in Nova Scotia. • ‍Conference Rooms – Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, BYOD Style Rooms‍
• Large Format Displays, Video Walls, Projectors and Screens‍
• Distributed, Multi-Room Audio Systems‍
• Public Address & Intercom Systems‍
• System Control and Integration‍
• Traditional Audio & Video Conferencing Systems‍
• Digital Signage Solutions & Software

‍ Duties and Responsibilities:

• ‍Lead project installations; manage project team members, project schedule, customer expectations and be accountable for the end project‍
• Installation of equipment and associated wiring‍
• System programming , configurations and commissioning of assigned projects‍
• Complete systems documentation; commissioning reports, as-builts, etc‍
• Interpretation of drawings including architectural, elevation, and schematic drawings‍
• Communicate with the customers about the system specifications and functions‍
• Complete all daily, weekly and monthly paperwork as required‍
• Attend service calls to troubleshoot systems for customers – diagnosis of problems and implementation of solutions‍
• Understand, adhere to, and promote environmental health & safety practices‍
• Job planning according to desired timelines, including the dissection of blueprints from designers‍
• Outgoing, professional and friendly personality with the ability to liaise with customers, conduct site surveys and do basic estimating for time and materials jobs‍
• Highly organized and self-motivated, requiring very little supervision‍
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination‍
• Knowledge of IP networks and the ability to configure IP based system solutions‍
• Strong ability and experience in coordinating and motivating team members while verifying completed tasks to provide on-the-job training and mentors‍
• Any and all other duties as assigned by management‍ ‍

Experience Required: ‍

• 5+ years’ experience in ProAV Installations and/or ProAV programming‍

• Familiar with MS Teams, Zoom, Other soft-codec collaboration platforms‍

• CTS Certificate considered an asset‍

• Ability to test, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, specific to audio, video, signal, control‍

• Preference will be given to those who have programming and configuration experience with the following Manufacturers:

  • Logi

‍ ‍Additional Requirements:

• ‍ ‍Valid driver’s licence; reasonable driver abstract‍
• Willingness to work overtime‍
• Travel throughout Atlantic Canada may be required‍
• Ability to pass a valid criminal record check
• Ability to hold government security clearances
