Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled AV Technician to support the setup, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of audiovisual equipment and systems across our facilities.

The role will provide hands-on technical support for meetings, events, presentations and conferences, ensuring AV systems are properly set up, fully operational and delivering a high-quality user experience.

Key Responsibilities

AV Installation & Setup

• Install, configure and test audiovisual equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems, video conferencing equipment and control systems.
• Set up and prepare AV equipment for meetings, events, presentations and conferences.
• Ensure all AV equipment is properly connected, calibrated and fully operational before events.

Technical Support & Operations

• Provide on-site technical support during meetings, events and presentations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV equipment and system issues quickly and efficiently.
• Operate sound, lighting and video equipment during live events when required.
• Respond to service requests and support tickets in a timely manner.

Maintenance & Quality Assurance

• Perform routine maintenance, testing and checks of AV systems and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they occur.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules and service logs.
• Ensure AV systems meet required quality and performance standards.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with Facilities, IT and Event Management teams to support AV requirements.
• Provide basic training and guidance to end users on AV system operation.
• Document technical procedures, system configurations and troubleshooting guides.
• Recommend upgrades and improvements to existing AV infrastructure where appropriate.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electronics, Audio Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.

• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with commercial AV systems.

• Strong knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including:

  • Projectors and displays
  • Sound systems and microphones
  • Video conferencing systems and platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Webex
  • AV control systems

• Understanding of signal flow, audio mixing, video switching and AV system integration.

• Familiarity with network fundamentals and IP-based AV systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and system schematics.
