SAN Engineer (12-Month Contract)

Location: Hong Kong (Onsite)

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAN Engineer to lead the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise storage environments. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in SAN infrastructure, storage platforms, and disaster recovery solutions across multi-vendor environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise SAN solutions using Dell EMC, Pure Storage, Cisco, Brocade, and HPE technologies.
• Administer and optimize storage platforms including PowerMax (PMAX), VMAX, Pure Storage, and HPE arrays.
• Configure and manage SAN fabrics, zoning, VSANs, ISLs, NPIV, Logical Fabrics, LSANs, and context switching.
• Perform storage provisioning, LUN masking, performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and support replication and disaster recovery technologies, including SRDF/S, SRDF/A, SRDF/AR, TimeFinder Snap, and Clone.
• Lead storage and SAN migration projects using tools such as Cirrus or equivalent migration platforms.
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco and Brocade director-class switches, ensuring optimal SAN performance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to deliver scalable storage solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Drive automation initiatives using scripting tools such as Python (preferred).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on SAN engineering and storage administration experience.
• Strong expertise in Dell EMC, Pure Storage, Cisco, Brocade, and HPE storage technologies.
• Experience with SYMCLI, Unisphere, Cisco DCNM, SANnav, FOS, ACS Gateway, and Brocade Network Advisor (BNA).
• Solid understanding of FC, iSCSI, FCoE, storage virtualization, and data center architecture.
• Proven experience in disaster recovery, replication, storage migrations, and performance analysis.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and project delivery skills.
