AVP, Data Governance, Operations

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for managing the Client Data Team and Product Data Team, managing account opening and maintenance processes, regulated periodic exercises, managing & monitoring product and price related data processes;
• Monitor product and market data related processes, such as investment product and market data, as well as market value (MTM) data from internal and external data sources. Establish a mechanism for comparing product data and pricing data, along with contingency plan;
• Design Client Data and Product Data Flow in internal systems, including overseas entities off the company. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data architecture and infrastructure align with business needs;
• Conduct regular data quality checks and resolve data discrepancies to maintain the integrity of operational data. Lead efforts to cleanse, standardize, and enrich data, ensuring it meets the group's data governance requirements;
• Assist in the development and implementation of Enterprise Data Centralization Platform to centralize and standardize data storage, processing, and management. Collaborate with various departments to identify key regulatory related data and assist in the integration of data into the platform;
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on existing data processes;
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and scalability of data management operations;
• Identify opportunities to automate data workflows and reduce manual intervention through the use of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) or data visualization tools;
• Act as a bridge between business units, operations, compliance, and IT to address data-related issues and support cross-departmental projects and initiatives;
• Manage the preparation and submission of regulatory reports in accordance with SFC and other regulatory requirements.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science or related disciplines;
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience;
• Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
• Experience on handling of account opening, product data, pricing data, data flow design and monitoring;
• Experienced in project coordination;
• Proficiency in MS Office software. Knowledge in RPA, VBA coding is an advantage;
• Proficiency in Mandarin, English, Cantonese;
• A team player, good interpersonal, independent, self-motivation in rapid changing environment, attentive to details, patient and strong responsibility.
