SimuPhish is an AI-driven Human Risk Management and Phishing Simulation platform built to help

organizations strengthen their human firewall through realistic simulations, gamified awareness, and

data-driven insights. We empower employees to become the strongest defense against cyber threats.

We are looking for an AI-driven AVP – Tech with prior experience in a Phishing Simulation, Human Risk Management (HRM), or Cybersecurity company. This is a senior technology leadership role responsible for defining and executing the technology strategy, leading the Tech team, driving AI-led innovation, and ensuring the development of scalable, secure, and high performing products.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise across cloud infrastructure, network architecture, backend engineering, and AI with proven leadership capabilities. The AVP – Tech will

own the technology roadmap, mentor and guide the engineering team, drive AI-first product

development, and align technology initiatives with SimuPhish's business objectives and long-term

vision. We are looking for a strategic yet hands-on technology leader who embraces AI, challenges

conventional engineering practices, and builds future-ready technology solutions

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute the overall technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap in alignment

with business goals and product vision.

• Lead, mentor, and guide the Tech team, establishing clear priorities, ownership,

accountability, and delivery expectations.

• Translate business and product requirements into scalable technical strategies, architecture

decisions, and actionable engineering plans.

• Establish engineering standards, best practices, code quality benchmarks, documentation

requirements, and development processes.

• Oversee technical planning, resource allocation, delivery timelines, dependencies, and

engineering performance.

• Build a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, accountability, and AI-first

engineering.

• Identify capability gaps and drive technical upskilling, knowledge sharing, and team

development.

• Collaborate with senior leadership, Product, Operations, and other stakeholders to align

technology investments with business priorities.

2. AI-First Technology & Innovation

• Champion an AI-first approach across product development, engineering, and

technology operations, ensuring AI is embedded into everyday workflows and strategic

initiatives.

• Identify and implement opportunities involving Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, intelligent

automation, and AI-driven analytics.

• Drive the development of AI-enabled product capabilities across phishing simulations, human

risk insights, security awareness, and advanced threat simulations.

• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, tools, and platforms to accelerate innovation

and strengthen product differentiation.

• Enable the Tech team to leverage AI for coding, debugging, testing, code reviews,

documentation, architecture design, and workflow automation.

• Establish practical approaches to measure AI adoption, productivity gains, development

efficiency, and product impact.

• Ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, cost-effective, reliable, and aligned with responsible

AI practices.

• Drive rapid prototyping, proof of concepts, experimentation, and the adoption of emerging

technologies.

3. Technology Architecture & Infrastructure

• Own the end-to-end technical architecture across cloud infrastructure, networking, servers,

application systems, integrations, and deployment environments.

• Design and oversee scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performance architectures that

support product growth.

• Establish infrastructure standards covering availability, monitoring, performance, access

controls, incident management, and disaster recovery.

• Oversee network architecture, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, switching,

wireless networking, and firewalls.

• Identify architectural risks, infrastructure bottlenecks, and technical debt, and drive

continuous improvements.

• Ensure technology decisions support scalability, reliability, security, maintainability, and long

term business requirements.

4. Cloud Computing & Server Administration

• Oversee cloud architecture and infrastructure management across platforms such as AWS,

Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Guide server provisioning, administration, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and

performance optimization.

• Drive cloud cost optimization, resource utilization, infrastructure automation, and operational

efficiency.

• Establish best practices for access management, secrets management, logging, monitoring,

backups, and secure deployments.

• Guide the adoption of cloud-native architectures, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and

automated infrastructure management.

5. Backend Engineering & Application Development

• Provide technical leadership across backend development, particularly Python, FastAPI, API

architecture, and system integrations.

• Guide the design and implementation of APIs, microservices, databases, and application

components.

• Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and software

development lifecycle management.

• Oversee application performance, scalability, maintainability, and integration across product

modules.

• Support the team in resolving complex technical challenges and making informed

architectural decisions.

• Ensure AI capabilities are incorporated into application architecture wherever they create

meaningful product or operational value.

6. Product Engineering & Industry Expertise

• Leverage experience gained within a Phishing Simulation, Human Risk Management, or

Cybersecurity company to shape SimuPhish's technology strategy and product capabilities.

• Guide the technical design and development of advanced capabilities such as AI-powered

vishing, voice cloning, ransomware simulations, deepfake videos, and other simulation

technologies.

• Ensure product environments and simulation workflows are designed with appropriate

security controls, isolation, scalability, and reliability.

• Partner with Product and Business stakeholders to translate market needs and product

concepts into technical solutions.

• Identify opportunities for product differentiation through AI, automation, integrations,

infrastructure improvements, and emerging technologies.

• Maintain a forward-looking technology vision that supports evolving customer requirements

and market opportunities.

7. Engineering Delivery & Operational Excellence

• Establish effective engineering workflows, development practices, release processes, and

delivery governance.

• Drive planning, estimation, prioritization, and execution to ensure predictable delivery of

product and technology milestones.

• Monitor engineering performance through relevant KPIs covering delivery efficiency, system

reliability, code quality, automation, and AI adoption.

• Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to accelerate development

without compromising quality.

• Oversee technical risk management, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and preventive

actions.

• Keep senior leadership informed about technology progress, delivery risks, resource

requirements, infrastructure needs, and innovation opportunities.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Industry Experience: Prior experience in a Phishing Simulation, Human Risk Management

(HRM), or Cybersecurity company is essential.

• Technology Leadership: Proven experience leading technical teams, guiding engineering

execution, and owning technology strategy and architecture.

• AI & Generative AI: Strong practical expertise in AI-enabled development, LLMs, AI

agents, AI coding tools, intelligent automation, and AI application integration.

• Cloud Computing: Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, including cloud

architecture, networking, deployment, and infrastructure management.

• Network Architecture: Expertise in computer networking, wireless networking, TCP/IP,

DNS, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls.

• Server Administration: Experience with Linux/Windows servers, infrastructure

management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.

• Python Development: Proficiency in Python for backend development, scripting,

integrations, and automation.

• FastAPI & APIs: Experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs and backend

services using FastAPI or equivalent frameworks.

• System Architecture: Ability to design scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable SaaS

architectures.

• DevOps & Automation: Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code,

automated testing, and deployment practices.

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect technology decisions with product innovation,

business priorities, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, stakeholder management,

and execution capabilities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or

a related field.

• Significant experience in technology and engineering, with demonstrated progression into

technical leadership or management responsibilities.

• Prior experience working in a Phishing Simulation, Human Risk Management, or Cybersecurity

company.

• Experience building, scaling, or managing SaaS products and AI-enabled technology

solutions.

• Practical experience implementing AI capabilities, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG pipelines,

vector databases, or comparable AI application architectures.

• Experience establishing technical roadmaps, engineering processes, delivery standards, and

measurable performance metrics.

• Experience guiding technical teams through architecture decisions, complex implementations,

and product delivery.
