AVP/VP, Application Developer, Financial Technology

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for the architecture design, core function development and implementation of middle and backend systems, ensuring stability and high availability;
• In charge of Enterprise Data Centralized Platform, Data Warehouse and DataMart applications, integrate various system data to provide data services for business users and downstream applications;
• Coordinate vendor management and system integration, promoting seamless connection between middle and backend systems with front-end systems;
• Assist the full project lifecycle management, coordinate business, testing and operation teams, and drive user acceptance testing and version release, 2nd line production support of front office trading platform;
• Establish and maintain standardized technical documentation, including system architecture. interface specifications, operation manuals and troubleshooting guide;
• Provide 2nd-line production support for middle and backend systems, quickly respond to and resolve production issue, and participate in disaster recovery drills;
• Explore blockchain and virtual asset technology in trading scenarios, participate in the R&D and iteration of distributed ledgers. digital asset custody and compliant trading systems;
• Responsible for other related tasks assigned by the team.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Financial Technology, Information Security, or related fields;
• At least 8 years or more of software development experience in the financial industry, with at least 5 years of middle and back-end system development and operations experience;
• Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
• Proficient in Java technology stack including core Java, JMS, JDBC, Spring/Spring Boot frameworks, and microservices architecture;
• Skilled in Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, or MySQL databases, with familiarity in Windows Server, Linux/Unix operating systems, and containerization technologies (Docker/K8s);
• Familiar with enterprise data centralized data platform, data warehouse and data Mart Application development, data integration and data science;
• Excellent cross-departmental communication and coordination skills, project management capabilities, and problem-solving abilities, with proven performance in efficiently executing complex initiatives under high-pressure environments;
• Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience in enterprise data bus (ETL and ESB);
• Candidates with blockchain/distributed ledger technology (DLT) or virtual currency-related system development experience, and familiarity with digital asset trading, custody, and settlement processes, are highly preferred;
• Preference will be given to candidates holding relevant professional certifications such as Oracle;
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multilingual working environment.
