Role Description The AWS Administrator will support IFI’s digital and production infrastructure by managing and optimizing cloud environments on Amazon Web Services. This full-time remote role involves configuring, monitoring, and maintaining AWS resources such as EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, and VPCs to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available systems. Daily tasks include deploying and updating applications, performing backups and disaster recovery drills, implementing security best practices, and troubleshooting performance or connectivity issues. The AWS Administrator will collaborate with development, content, and production teams to support streaming, data storage, analytics, and automation needs, while documenting configurations and processes. The role also includes proactive cost optimization, setting up monitoring and alerting, and continuously improving cloud operations in line with show and business requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure management, including networking, security groups, load balancers, and backup strategies.
• Skills in automation and DevOps practices using tools like AWS CLI, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC solutions.
• Ability to implement and maintain security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance controls.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance tuning using CloudWatch, AWS Config, or third-party tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and collaboration with development teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to diagnose and resolve cloud infrastructure issues under time constraints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document systems and procedures clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are highly beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
