AWS Application Migration & Modernisation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Migration & Modernisation Specialist with strong hands-on AWS expertise to support enterprise application migration, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assess legacy, on-premises, and existing cloud applications for AWS migration readiness
• Define migration strategies using the AWS 7Rs: Retain, Retire, Rehost, Relocate, Repurchase, Replatform, and Refactor
• Execute end-to-end production migrations from on-premises environments to AWS
• Modernize legacy and monolithic applications into microservices and cloud-native architectures
• Design and implement containerized solutions using Docker, Amazon ECS, and Amazon EKS
• Work with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, IAM, and AWS Migration Services
• Support database migration using AWS DMS and enterprise databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DB2
• Implement CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevOps, and security practices
• Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, database, and migration issues

About you

• 7–12+ years of overall IT/application engineering experience
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on AWS experience
• Proven enterprise application migration and modernization experience on AWS
• Hands-on production migration experience from on-premises to AWS
• Strong understanding of application architecture, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native solutions
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong understanding of Linux/Windows environments, IAM, encryption, networking, and cloud governance
• Preferred: Java, .NET/.NET Core, Python, Node.js, Spring Boot, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, REST APIs, Kafka, Amazon MSK, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, ELK, and Grafana
• Preferred: AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, or AWS Developer
