Job Summary

We are looking for a AWS Cloud Migration Engineer with strong hands-on experience migrating enterprise workloads from on-premises or legacy environments to AWS.

The ideal candidate should be technically hands-on with AWS migration services, infrastructure, networking, virtualization, automation, and production migration activities. This is an execution-focused engineering role, not an architect-level position.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of IT/Cloud experience with strong hands-on AWS experience
• Hands-on experience executing enterprise migrations from on-premises or legacy environments to AWS
• Experience with AWS migration services including AWS MGN and/or AWS DMS
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch
• Strong AWS networking knowledge including VPC, subnets, routing, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and DNS
• Experience working with AWS Landing Zones and multi-account environments
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Strong VMware and/or Hyper-V experience, including migration of virtualized workloads to AWS
• Experience with migration assessment, dependency mapping, migration planning, cutover, validation, and post-migration support
• Strong troubleshooting skills across AWS infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, and migration-related issues
• Understanding of AWS security, IAM, resiliency, backup/DR, and cost optimization
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments and working with cross-functional migration teams
• Azure, GCP, or multi-cloud experience is a plus
• Must be willing to work onsite in Texas, California, Florida, or other assigned U.S. locations

What We Are Looking For

• Strong hands-on AWS migration experience
• Engineers who have personally executed and supported migrations, not just provided architecture or strategy
• Practical experience with AWS migration tools, infrastructure, networking, and troubleshooting
• Ability to work through migration activities from assessment and planning through cutover and post-migration stabilization

Important

This is a hands-on AWS Cloud Migration Engineer position. We are not looking for an Architect-level or primarily strategy-focused candidate.

Strong practical experience with AWS migration, MGN/DMS, AWS infrastructure, networking, and VMware/Hyper-V is the priority. Primarily Azure-focused profiles would not be suitable.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
