AWS Cloud Tech Lead

Role: Cloud Lead (AWS)

Experience: 8+ years overall (5+ years in Cloud & Software Engineering)

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or a related field

Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or equivalent) preferred

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Lead to architect, build, and optimize scalable, secure cloud-native solutions on AWS while leading and mentoring engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Delivery: Design and deploy secure, resilient, cost-effective cloud architectures and microservices on AWS.
• Development & Leadership: Lead hands-on development of cloud-native applications and guide cross-functional engineering teams.
• Automation & DevOps: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and streamline CI/CD delivery pipelines.
• Operations & Governance: Optimize system performance, enforce cloud security best practices, and maintain architectural documentation.

Required Technical Skills & Competencies

• Cloud Platform: AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
• Programming Languages: Java, Node.js, Python
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform or Ansible
• Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Methodologies & Architecture: CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture
• Value-Add: Hybrid/multi-cloud experience, strong technical mentorship, and stakeholder communication

Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Houston, TX 77002
