AWS Data Architect (Big Data & EMR)

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Architect

for our client,a leading global consulting firm. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving complex, large-scale data migration programs and shape enterprise data platform architecture.

If you have deep expertise in the AWS EMR and Big Data ecosystem, a strong architectural mindset, and experience leading end-to-end migration initiatives, we’d love to connect with you!

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience leading end-to-end, full-lifecycle, large-scale data migration programs as a lead architect.
• 8+ years of experience in Big Data technologies and the Hadoop ecosystem.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS EMR.
• Deep expertise in EMR architecture, including EC2, EMR Serverless, and EKS, along with cluster sizing and cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience with AWS EMR, Glue Data Catalog, Lake Formation, and Amazon DataZone.
• Strong understanding of Apache Spark internals, including execution plans, memory tuning, and shuffle optimization.
• Experience designing enterprise data platforms and target-state architectures.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and large-scale metadata management.
• Excellent technical leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence architecture decisions and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
