ABOUT YOU

Are you an AWS Data Engineer with a passion for building reliable and scalable data pipelines? Do you enjoy working hands-on with cloud technologies, transforming raw data into structured and usable datasets? Then this opportunity is for you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, develop, and maintain batch data pipelines within the AWS ecosystem.
• Build and manage data ingestion and transformation processes using AWS Glue, Lake Formation, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Step Functions, with CloudWatch for monitoring, ensuring reliable and efficient data processing.
• Develop data processing and transformation logic using Python and SQL.
• Use Amazon S3 for data storage and management across the layers of the data platform.
• Support the ingestion and transformation of data across the Bronze and Silver layers, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability.
• Build a self service layer for the business with Amazon Redshift.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation and to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices and processes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Professional experience in Data Engineering, preferably within AWS cloud based data environments.
• Strong hands on experience with AWS Glue, including the development and maintenance of ETL/data processing jobs.
• Experience with Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift.
• Solid programming skills in Python for data processing and transformation.
• Experience designing and implementing batch data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Experience working with Medallion data architectures.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data quality, and data transformation principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines and processing workflows.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of data modelling concepts is valued.
• Experience with Databricks is a plus.
• DevOps and IaC knowledge is a plus.
