AWS Data Engineers

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a product-focused Scrum team, helping design, develop, and optimize cloud-native data solutions. You will play a key role in building scalable data pipelines, managing complex datasets, and delivering reliable data products that support business-critical decisions.

Working closely with Data Analysts, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams, you will contribute throughout the entire data lifecycle, from architecture and development to monitoring, support, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data solutions on AWS.
• Integrate and transform data from multiple sources into reliable, business-ready datasets.
• Build and optimize data models, SQL queries, and database objects for performance and scalability.
• Ensure data quality, governance, monitoring, and operational reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver data products.
• Contribute to production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience building data pipelines and data platforms on AWS.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services including:S3
• ECS
• Lambda
• RDS
• SNS/SQS
• IAM
• CloudWatch
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with analytical databases.
• Strong Python development skills, including libraries such as Pandas and Boto3.
• Experience with data modelling and modern data architecture principles.
• Good understanding of data governance and data quality processes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Snowflake.
• Knowledge of DBT Core.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or AWS Step Functions.
• Experience with GitHub or GitLab.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.
• AWS Certifications (Solution Architect or similar).
• Snowflake Certifications (SnowPro Core or similar).
