Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Developer with strong AWS and Python expertise to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud-based applications. Based in Atlanta, GA, this role will combine deep technical hands-on work with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team of developers while partnering with business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

· Development of applications using Python and AWS services

· Establish and enforce coding standards, development best practices, and design patterns

· Work with AWS services such as:

o Lambda, ECS, EKS

o API Gateway

o S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora

o CloudFormation / Terraform (IaC)

· Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost

Software Development

· Develop robust backend systems using Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django)

· Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures

· Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)

DevOps & Automation

· Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)

· Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)

· Collaborate closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

· 6+ years of software development experience

· Strong hands-on expertise in Python

· Extensive experience with AWS cloud platform

· Proven experience designing microservices and distributed systems

· Strong understanding of REST APIs, system design, and scalable architectures

· Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

· AWS Certifications (Developer Associate, or Professional)

· Experience in industries common in Atlanta (FinTech, Healthcare, Logistics)

· Familiarity with event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, Kafka)

· Knowledge of security and compliance best practices

· Agile/Scrum experience
