Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced AWS Snowflake Architect with 12+ years of IT experience to design, build, and optimize modern cloud data platforms on Snowflake hosted on AWS.

The ideal candidate will own the end-to-end Snowflake data platform architecture, drive dbt-based transformation frameworks, integrate Snowpark and Generative AI solutions using Snowflake Cortex, and provide technical leadership across engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

Own end-to-end architecture and design of enterprise Snowflake data platforms on AWS covering ingestion, ELT, storage, consumption, sharing, and governance.

Define reference architectures, standards, and best practices for Snowflake, dbt, and Snowpark-based solutions.

Architect and optimize complex ELT pipelines and transformation logic using Snowflake, dbt, Snowpark, and Python for high performance, reliability, and scalability.

Design modular, well-documented, and testable dbt models with data quality checks and testing frameworks.

Drive Snowflake performance optimization – clustering, partitioning, query tuning, warehouse sizing, resource monitors, and cost / FinOps management.

Architect GenAI-powered Snowflake automation solutions using Snowflake Cortex LLM, RAG framework, LangChain, and Agentic AI.

Define data governance, security, RBAC, data sharing, and masking strategies within Snowflake and across AWS.

Engage in pre-sales, client workshops, PoCs, and RFP / RFI responses as Snowflake SME.

Provide technical leadership, review solutions, and mentor engineers and leads across engagements.

Collaborate with AWS, Snowflake partner teams, and business stakeholders to align solutions with business outcomes.

Mandatory Hands-on Skills

Strong experience with Snowflake architecture, features, and administration (RBAC, resource monitors, Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning).

Hands-on experience with dbt (Core / Cloud), including modelling standards, tests, macros, and CI/CD for dbt.

Snowpark (Python / Scala) for advanced data engineering and ML workloads.

Advanced SQL, performance tuning, and query profiling.

AWS Services: S3, IAM, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, MSK, EventBridge, VPC, KMS.

Data ingestion patterns from AWS to Snowflake (Snowpipe, external tables, streaming).

Data modeling – dimensional, Data Vault, and modern Lakehouse patterns.

CI/CD, Git, Terraform for Snowflake and dbt deployments.

Data governance, security, masking policies, and row/column-level access controls.

Good to Have

Experience with Snowflake Cortex, LLM APIs, and GenAI frameworks.

Understanding of embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.

Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Architect and AWS Solutions Architect certifications.

Experience with data sharing, Snowflake Marketplace, and Iceberg tables.

Exposure to enterprise data migration and modernization programs.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Proven experience leading solution discussions with clients and architecture boards.

Ability to mentor senior engineers and drive architectural governance.

Hands-on mindset with strong ownership of design and delivery.

Experience in pre-sales, RFP responses, and client-facing consulting engagements.
