AWS Technical Lead-DC Metro area

For our client, we are seeking a AWS Technical Lead-DC Metro area to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will lead technical direction for a remote cloud environment, with a strong focus on AWS systems, architecture improvements, and operational excellence. The position will partner closely with stakeholders and senior leadership to define requirements, guide solution design, and support delivery of secure, high-availability cloud services. The selected individual will also manage a team of DevOps Engineers and serve as a key escalation point for service level performance and cloud strategy execution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $199,750 – $270,250 annually

Responsibilities

• Own AWS systems and identify gaps for improvements
• Improve operational excellence across the AWS environment
• Serve as the final escalation point in response to service level agreements
• Define technical requirements and objectives with stakeholders
• Lead design of system improvements and oversee client deliverables
• Manage a team of DevOps Engineers to ensure innovative cloud strategies
• Develop cloud adoption strategies with senior leadership and agency personnel

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT/digital transformation experience
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud architecture experience
• Expertise in leading multi-tenant cloud systems
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience developing high-availability and secure solutions
