About the Role

Axiom Developer – Application Programmer III

We are seeking an experienced Axiom Developer to join a Finance Technology team within a leading financial services organisation. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical technology initiatives, developing and enhancing regulatory reporting solutions that support key finance functions. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Axiom ControllerView and Oracle PL/SQL, alongside an understanding of European regulatory reporting requirements. You will contribute to the delivery of stable, scalable and high-performing technology solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, analysts and development teams across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance Axiom solutions to address complex business and regulatory reporting requirements.

• Build and maintain robust, high-performing applications with a strong focus on system stability, scalability and reliability.

• Contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.

• Collaborate with business users, business analysts and technical colleagues to deliver effective regulatory reporting solutions.

• Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of strategic finance technology platforms.

• Troubleshoot technical issues, investigate root causes and implement appropriate solutions.

• Contribute to development activities within an Agile environment, ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities and technical standards.

• Identify and manage technical risks, issues and dependencies across complex technology programmes.

• Work effectively with stakeholders across international teams and multiple time zones.

• Essential Skills and Experience

• Axiom ControllerView: Minimum of 3 years' hands-on development experience.

• Oracle PL/SQL: Intermediate to advanced knowledge, including the ability to develop and optimise database solutions.

• Regulatory Reporting: Knowledge of European regulatory reporting requirements, including COREP, FINREP, AnaCredit and statistical reporting.

• Financial Services: Understanding of financial products, asset classes and core finance processes.

• XBRL: Familiarity with eXtensible Business Reporting Language and its application in regulatory reporting.

• Agile Delivery: Experience working within Agile development teams and delivering technology enhancements.

• Technical Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on application performance and reliability.
