Azure BI / Data Engineer (Azure Databricks + ADF + Power BI)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Azure BI/Data Engineer to build end-to-end Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The role involves collecting data, creating data pipelines, preparing data for reporting, developing dashboards, and supporting business users. You will also document solutions and maintain BI processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Build complete BI solutions from data collection to reporting.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Create and manage Azure Analysis Services tabular models.
• Write SQL, Python, and PySpark code for data processing.
• Use Git and Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD.
• Support business users and troubleshoot BI issues.
• Prepare technical documentation for solutions and support processes.
• Work closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to understand reporting needs.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks
• Experience with Azure Analysis Services and Tabular Cube Modeling
• Good knowledge of Azure DevOps and Git (CI/CD)
• Strong skills in Python/PySpark
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with DAX
• Basic knowledge of Power BI
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services (Subscriptions, Resource Groups, Entra ID, etc.)

Nice to Have

• Logic Apps
• PowerShell
• Experience with VS Code, SSMS, and Tabular Editor

Business Knowledge

Experience in any of the following domains is preferred:

• Finance: SAP reporting, financial KPIs, and business rules
• Operations: Order-to-delivery process and operational KPIs
• Sales: Sales forecasting, pipeline management, and Salesforce reporting
