Overview We are seeking a dedicated Azure Cloud Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team at Hanscom/Boston. This role is focused on hands-on security operations within Azure Government Secret, including vulnerability management, policy enforcement, and incident support. If you have a strong background in cloud security, particularly in Azure and DISA STIGs, and are committed to protecting critical government systems, this opportunity is for you.

Work Arrangement On-Site at Hanscom/Boston

Responsibilities

• Operate ACAS/Nessus scanners within the Azure SIPRNet virtual network.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel data connectors to detect misconfigurations and threats.
• Execute STIG benchmarks against Azure VMs, virtual appliances, and storage accounts; create and apply remediation scripts to resolve non-compliant Azure Policy definitions and Blueprint configurations.
• Query Azure Monitor, Log Analytics Workspaces (using KQL), and Network Watcher to investigate network and security events.
• Document technical mitigation details, compile scan exports, generate vulnerability burn-down charts, and maintain the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
• Support incident response actions such as VM isolation, revoking access tokens, and forensic data collection.
• Participate in daily operational stand-ups to review alerts and open tickets.
• Manage synchronized patch deployment cycles on SIPRNet.
• Execute cross-domain data transfer protocols for security updates and patches.
• Collaborate on weekly vulnerability remediation sprints to address vulnerabilities within required timelines.

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS and 8 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with KQL, Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud, and DISA STIGs.
• On-Site presence at Hanscom/Boston.
• Secret clearance.

Desired Skills

• Proficiency in operating ACAS & Defender tools within Azure environments.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment, policy hardening, and incident response.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.

Pay Range Pay range: $165,000.00–$185,000.00 annually.

This pay range is based on qualifications and experience, and assumes all role requirements are met.
