Azure Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join our global infrastructure team. This role is critical in driving application resiliency and advanced infrastructure automation across our multi-region footprint. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams across the USA, Malaysia, and India. Because our platform powers mission-critical services, this position plays a key role in supporting our 7 day a week operational model to guarantee maximum uptime and seamless service delivery.

Location will be in George Town, Puala Pineng Malaysia

Resiliency & High Availability

• Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant Azure architectures utilizing Availability Zones, Azure Traffic Manager, and Azure Load Balancers.
• Establish multi-region disaster recovery (DR) strategies, executing regular chaos engineering and failover testing to maintain low RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) thresholds.
• Optimize cloud architectures to withstand localized infrastructure disruptions without degrading customer experience.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Eliminate manual interventions by developing and maintaining robust IaC templates using Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM).
• Build, scale, and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for zero-downtime application deployments.
• Script operational runbooks and self-healing mechanisms utilizing Azure Automation, PowerShell, or Python.

Global Operations & Collaboration

• Collaborate actively in a follow-the-sun engineering matrix spanning the USA, Malaysia, and India to ensure smooth project handoffs and shared architectural standards.
• Participate in a structured, rotating schedule providing coverage 7 days a week to support critical maintenance windows and urgent operational incidents.
• Manage centralized logging, metrics, and alerting strategies utilizing Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to proactively detect anomalies.

Requirement Category Specific Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Azure Core Services (AKS, App Services, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Event Hubs).
• Automation SkillsProduction experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, python and enterprise CI/CD systems.
• Observability ToolsExperience setting up dashboards and alerts in Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Solarwinds.
• Soft SkillsExcellent cross-cultural communication skills; ability to coordinate smoothly across global time zones.
• Certifications (Preferred)Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
