About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Solution Architect & SQL DBA to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure and database solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Azure cloud architectures, including HLDs, LLDs, and solution blueprints.
• Lead on-premises to Azure migrations for servers, databases, and applications.
• Design and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions, including Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, and SQL Managed Instance.
• Implement Azure networking and security using VNets, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, NSGs, Application Gateway, and WAF.
• Manage identity and access using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
• Drive cloud governance, cost optimization, resource right-sizing, and FinOps initiatives.
• Manage SQL Server and Azure SQL databases, including performance tuning, backup, recovery, and HA/DR.
• Configure and troubleshoot Always On Availability Groups, clustering, log shipping, replication, and CDC.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, patching, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Lead technical discussions, customer workshops, incident management, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Mentor engineering teams and ensure adherence to cloud security and architecture best practices.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• Azure Architect Technologies (AZ-303) or equivalent Azure architecture certification.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure architecture and cloud engineering.
• Expertise in Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, and governance.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, and SQL database administration.
• Experience in cloud migration planning, architecture design, and application modernization.
• Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Azure Backup.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization, resource management, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong customer-facing communication, technical leadership, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• Azure Architect Technologies (AZ-303) or equivalent Azure architecture certification.
