Location: Toronto, Ontario – Hybrid

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Business Intelligence, Python, and API development . The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable data solutions, developing APIs using Python, and supporting data integration and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks .
• Develop and maintain Python-based APIs for data integration and application connectivity.
• Build and optimize data processing, transformation, and integration solutions.
• Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Work with Azure services to support data engineering and reporting requirements.
• Ensure data quality, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks .
• Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) and data analytics.
• Strong programming experience in Python .
• Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs using Python .
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data integration.
• Good understanding of Azure cloud and data engineering concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) .
• Knowledge of PySpark and SQL .
• Experience with Power BI or other BI/reporting tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
