We are a UK-based data and analytics consultancy specializing in the hospitality sector. Our clients include multi-site restaurant, pub, and leisure groups operating hundreds of venues with complex EPOS, workforce, and reservations systems. Our Karachi team works directly with UK architects and delivery leads on live platforms—no ticket factories, no subcontracting.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines on Azure for UK hospitality clients. This involves ingesting data from EPOS, workforce, reservations, feedback, and kitchen systems into a medallion architecture, then modelling it into actionable insights for the business.

What You’ll Do

• Develop config-driven ingestion pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Databricks from APIs, SFTP, and databases.
• Write PySpark transformations across bronze, silver, and gold layers, including incremental loads, CDC/upsert logic, deduplication, and SCD Type 2 dimensions.
• Model conformed dimensions and fact tables (sites, trading day/part, employee hierarchy).
• Implement data quality checks, reconciliation logic, and monitoring—owning fixes when feeds break.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and Git discipline across environments.
• Join client calls to explain solutions and share findings.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years in data engineering, with at least 2 years on cloud platforms.
• Strong PySpark and Databricks experience—you’ve tuned jobs on real volumes.
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake.
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills, comfortable with SQL Server sources.
• Python beyond notebooks—modular, parameterized, config-driven code.
• Git branching discipline; ideally Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Clear English communication for regular UK client calls.
• Willingness to work UK-aligned hours (12:00–21:00 PKT or 13:00–22:00 PKT).

Nice to Have

• Unity Catalog, Microsoft Fabric, or Power BI semantic modelling.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, or other high-volume transactional domains.
• Data governance, lineage, or master data experience.
• SSIS-to-cloud migration exposure.
• Senior candidates with 7+ years can lead workstreams and review code.
