Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Azure Database Developer on behalf of our client in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Azure data technologies, data architecture, database design, and enterprise integrations. This role will support the design, enhancement, and optimization of mission-critical applications and enterprise data solutions built on Microsoft Azure and Power Platform. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures that support both public-facing and internal business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain relational and NoSQL database solutions using Azure cloud technologies.
• Create and optimize data models, schemas, and enterprise data architectures for scalable business applications.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend data design solutions for new and existing systems.
• Develop and support enterprise data integrations, APIs, and data exchange processes across multiple platforms.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, ingestion processes, and transformation frameworks.
• Design data structures supporting analytics, reporting, dashboards, auditing, archiving, and search capabilities.
• Collaborate with development, business, and technical teams in an Agile environment.
• Support deployment, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and enhancement of production systems.
• Ensure data governance, security, quality, and compliance standards are followed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and enterprise process optimization efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience designing and managing relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases.
• 5+ years of experience with:
• Azure SQL Database
• Azure SQL Managed Instance
• Azure Cosmos DB
• Azure Blob Storage
• Business intelligence and reporting data layers
• 5+ years of experience with data modeling, schema design, and enterprise data architecture.
• 5+ years of experience developing applications using .NET Core or Node.js in Azure environments.
• Experience with data pipelines, data ingestion, transformation, governance, and data quality initiatives.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Experience integrating with CRM platforms, content management systems, and downstream enterprise applications.
• Experience creating data structures that support reporting, analytics, operational dashboards, and audit requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
