Azure Infrastructure Application Migration Engineer

Role Description Technical Skills Primary

• Strong experience in legacy scripting and automation using Windows Batch Perl Python Auto Hotkey and Harbour Clipper.
• Expertise in job chaining dependency analysis error handling logging and automation refactoring.
• Handson experience with FTP SFTP SSH ODBC FileZilla 3270 terminal emulation and Solaris connectivity.
• Experience with secure endpoint configuration and credential management.
• Strong knowledge of batch processing data extraction and transformation validation and reconciliation.
• Application and job monitoring production troubleshooting and operational support.
• Experience assessing legacy infrastructure VMware virtual machines Windows workstations storage scripts scheduled tasks interfaces and application dependencies.
• Demonstrated experience migrating legacy or business critical workloads to Azure IaaS.
• Experience preparing migration plans test plans cutover runbooks rollback procedures and operational documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess remediate and migrate legacy automation and data extraction workloads to Microsoft Azure.
• Support Windows Task Scheduler chained batch processes interactive desktop automation file shares mapped drives Remote Desktop and UltraVNC dependent workflows.
• Coordinate with Azure and network teams to configure and troubleshoot static public IPs and partner whitelisting.
• Configure and support secure file transfer terminal emulation database connectivity and Solaris integration solutions.
• Validate eligibility claims accumulator EOB reporting and other batch data feeds through functional integration connectivity performance and reconciliation testing.
• Plan and execute VMware to Azure and workstation to server migrations including sizing data transfer validation cutover rollback and hyper care.
• Implement monitoring logging backup validation restart procedures incident response and production support for unattended workloads.
• Develop architecture diagrams dependency maps inventories runbooks SOPs and knowledge transfer materials.
• Coordinate with application owners’ technical teams’ vendors former service providers and external partners.

Technical Skills Secondary Nice To Have

• Azure Virtual Machines Windows Server 2025 Azure Networking Bastion RBAC Azure Monitor Azure Files backup and VM lifecycle management.
• IPsec VPNs Fortinet firewalls SDWAN Huband spoke architecture routing NAT VLAN DMZ segmentation firewall policies SASE and packet flow troubleshooting.
• VMware administration workload discovery dependency assessment capacity sizing infrastructure risk analysis and Azure migration.
• Windows Server administration Windows 10 migration Active Directory file services Remote Desktop Task Scheduler services permissions and session management.
• Sentinel One endpoint protection least privilege access vulnerability remediation network isolation privileged access controls and recovery validation.
• Healthcare administration platforms claim processing eligibility feeds accumulators EOB processing or related data exchanges.
• Health Pac or comparable legacy claims administration platform experience.
• Microsoft Azure VMware Fortinet or security related certifications.
• Application migration and legacy script modernization experience.

Other Details Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
