Azure Kubernetes Support Engineer

Position : Azure AKS Support Engineer

Location: Bellevue, WA

Duration: Full-Time

Work Schedule: 24x7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Azure AKS Support Engineer to provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container-related issues. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with AKS, Azure infrastructure, Kubernetes troubleshooting, networking, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Azure AKS support cases from initial investigation through final resolution.
• Analyze, prioritize, and troubleshoot incidents based on business impact and urgency.
• Troubleshoot AKS clusters, nodes, node pools, pods, deployments, scaling, upgrades, and connectivity issues.
• Work with Azure Container Registry (ACR), Azure Container Instances (ACI), container images, image pulls, ingress, DNS, and Kubernetes services.
• Troubleshoot persistent volumes, storage, cluster add-ons, and workload deployment issues.
• Use Azure Portal, Azure CLI, kubectl, logs, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes.
• Monitor and diagnose issues using Azure Monitor, Container Insights, Activity Logs, and AKS diagnostics.
• Coordinate with customers, internal engineering teams, and partner support teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain clear communication, document troubleshooting steps, and provide resolution summaries.
• Participate in crisis management and rotational shifts as required.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and containerized workloads.
• Experience with Azure CLI, kubectl, and Azure Portal.
• Knowledge of container networking, DNS, ingress, storage, and workload deployments.
• Experience with Azure Container Registry (ACR) and container image management.
• Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Container Insights, Activity Logs, and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer communication skills.

Work Schedule

This position follows a 24x7 rotational shift model . Candidates must be flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays according to the assigned roster.
