B2B Project: QA Automation Engineer

For our client, an international organization, we are currently looking for a specialist for the position of QA Automation Engineer. The project is suited to an experienced Automation Engineer with strong programming skills and a focus on backend, API and integration testing, while also understanding UI testing.

• Service delivery model: Hybrid, Kraków
• Rate: 150 - 180 PLN/h net (+ VAT)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Cooperation: Initial 12-month contract, with possibility of extension

Project Description:

The project focuses on the development and consolidation of large-scale systems supporting client onboarding processes. An important part of the initiative involves new AI-related integrations, including data extraction from documents and Human-in-the-Loop solutions. The project focuses primarily on test automation for backend systems, integrations and APIs, while also covering applications with a UI layer. QA operates as a dedicated function collaborating closely with product and technical specialists and supports comprehensive automation of test scenarios. The scope goes beyond creating test cases.

Scope of services:

• Design and develop automated tests for backend systems, APIs and UI applications.
• Automate integration scenarios involving communication between multiple systems.
• Build and enhance custom test automation frameworks and testing tools.
• Create test scenarios executed through the developed frameworks.
• Select the appropriate testing level depending on the scenario, including UI, API and integration testing.
• Test integrations involving event-driven communication.
• Perform performance testing.
• Prepare test results and reporting.
• Use AI solutions to support the development of tests and testing tools.
• Contribute to testing new AI-based solutions where system outputs may be non-deterministic.
• Collaborate with product and technical specialists within an experienced project environment.

Required competencies:

• Approximately 8+ years of professional experience in test automation.
• Strong hands-on test automation expertise.
• Strong programming skills.
• Basic knowledge of Java.
• Practical experience in API and backend testing .
• Good understanding of the differences between UI, API and integration testing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as:
• Selenium
• Playwright
• Postman
• JUnit
• TestNG
• Maven / Gradle
• Experience in integration testing.
• English at B2/C1 level.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in performance testing.
• Experience with Gatling .
• Experience with JMeter .
• Experience with Kafka or other event-driven systems .
• Experience building custom test frameworks or testing tools.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing .
