B2B Project: Senior Java Developer

For our client, a global organization developing large-scale client onboarding systems and new AI-enabled integrations, we are currently looking for a Specialist for the position of Senior Java Developer.

• Service delivery model: Hybrid, Kraków or Wrocław
• Rate: 160 - 190 PLN/h net (+ VAT)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Cooperation: Initial 12-month contract, with possibility of extension

Project Description:

The project focuses on the development and consolidation of large-scale systems supporting client onboarding processes. An important part of the initiative involves new AI-related integrations, including data extraction from documents and Human-in-the-Loop solutions. This scope is intended for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who can independently take ownership of larger technical topics, from initial analysis and high-level design through discussions with architects and other project teams to implementation.

Scope of services:

• Develop backend applications using Java and microservices architectures.
• Design technical solutions and communication patterns between distributed services.
• Contribute to integrations involving a large number of systems.
• Independently handle larger technical topics, from analysis and high-level design through implementation.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and other project teams to define and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
• Maintain high code quality based on SOLID and Clean Code principles.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to the quality and maintainability of a large codebase.
• Work with Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and GitLab.
• Use AI-based development tools and agents, including GitHub Copilot, as part of the development process.

Required competencies:

• 8+ years of enterprise-level application development experience.
• Solid hands-on experience with JVM programming languages, ideally Java 11+ .
• Strong understanding of software design patterns.
• Strong practical understanding of distributed microservices architectures , including service-to-service communication patterns and challenges associated with microservices.
• Experience with relational and document databases.
• Strong understanding and practical application of engineering best practices, including SOLID and Clean Code .
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and Kubernetes .
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines , for example GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience using agentic LLMs to support the software development process.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to independently analyze technical challenges, design solutions and drive larger technical topics through implementation.
• Strong hands-on engineering experience, including the ability to analyze existing code, identify issues and explain technical design decisions.
• English at B2/C1 level .

Nice to Have:

• Experience with, or willingness to learn, Java Reactive Programming / Spring WebFlux .
• Experience with NoSQL databases , ideally MongoDB or Cosmos DB.
• Familiarity with BPMN , for example Flowable.
