What they need

  • We are looking for a B2C Community Manager to be the voice, vibe and hype-person of our community.
  • You'll run the day-to-day conversation across X (Twitter), Telegram, Instagram and TikTok, keep the banter going, spot what's trending before everyone else, and turn what the community is saying into real input for our product, support and marketing teams.
  • This is a fully remote role, open only to Nigerians currently living in Nigeria.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day replies and engagement across X (Twitter), Telegram, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Keep conversations and banter alive so the community feels active, not just broadcast to.
  • Spot trends, memes and cultural moments early and turn them into timely community content.
  • Monitor community sentiment, then route complaints to support and praise to the right teams.
  • Plan and run community activations, giveaways and campaigns.
  • Work with Tonic FC on football-led community content and activations.
  • Turn community feedback and insight into clear input for product, support and marketing.
  • Benchmark similar communities and bring back ideas we can use.
  • Handle tense or negative conversations with a steady head and protect the brand's reputation.

Requirements
Education:

  • A Degree or HND in Mass Communication, Marketing, English, or a related field is welcome but not required. Proven community experience matters more than certificates.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fintech, in a community, social media or similar role.
  • A track record of growing a community from "just posting" to genuinely engaged.
  • Experience with football fan communities and high-energy online communities where banter runs deep is a big plus.

Skills:

  • Sharp, witty writing with a natural sense of humour.
  • Deep understanding of how online communities behave, especially on X, Telegram, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Strong instinct for trends, memes and internet culture in Nigeria.
  • Calm, sound judgement when comments get spicy.
  • Ability to read sentiment and summarise community insight clearly for other teams.
  • Good organisation for running campaigns, giveaways and activations end to end.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be Nigerian.
  • Must have at least 3 years of community managementexperience. Fintech Industry is a plus.
  • Must be chronically online and fluent in internet culture.
  • Must be comfortable working remotely and independently.
  • Please include your LinkedIn profile and an up-to-date CV. Links to communities or accounts you've managed will strengthen your application.

Note: If you can read a comment section and instantly know the mood, write a reply that gets people laughing, and stay calm when things get heated, we'd like to meet you.
