B4 Chargeman

Job Summary

Shift Chargeman B4 encompasses various responsibilities relating to overseeing electrical systems either High Voltage (HV) or Low Voltage (LV) within an organization. This role involves managing the power supply to the plant, substation, switchgear and ensuring that Electrical Systems and asset for entire Kualiti Alam Sdn. Bhd. plants are working and maintained effectively. He or She is responsible to carry out corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance and other activities relating to LV & HV Switchgear, electrical part, plant equipment and the site power distribution network. This is a shift position on rotation.

Job Description

• Take charge of new installations and maintenance for a wide range of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with TNB, Energy Commission, and other regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with legal requirements and safety standards.
• Monitor, track, and analyze daily power consumption, and initiate preventive maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns and mitigate potential power failures.
• Oversee new installations and maintenance activities to adherence to safety protocols and legal guidelines.
• Execute installations, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting for high voltage transformers, switch gears, electrical wiring systems, air-conditioning systems, firefighting systems, and other building services.
• Lead and mentor a team of electrical technicians in corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs if needed.
• Conduct calibration and testing of protective relays to ensure optimal system performance.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, demonstrating readiness to address and resolve issues swiftly.
• Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, permits, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive logbooks for inspections, aligned with the stipulations of the Energy Commission.
• In charge of LOTO during minor and major shutdowns.
• Permit to Work Issuance for ENI work tracks during minor and major shutdowns.
• Fulfilling other obligations as needed basis from superior.
• To perform synchronizing and dis-synchronizing High Voltage Generator to the National Grid from Scheduled Waste To Energy (SWTE) Plant.

Job Requirement

• Possess a Professional Certificate from Suruhanjaya Tenaga (B4 - 11kv/33kv) as a minimum qualification.
• Possess a minimum of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
• Having Sijil Pendawaian Elektrik is an advantage.
• The candidate will have experience as an Assistant Manager with a specialization in Power Station Maintenance/Repair (Facilities and Machinery)/Waste to Energy Plant or an equivalent field.
• A minimum of 10 years of work experience.
• Conversant with Electricity Supply Act, Electrical Regulations, IEE Wiring Regulations, etc.
