We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our small team.

We are a small setting. You will be required to support a maximum group of 6-9 children with support from other staff members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in the development of young minds while fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.

Duties

• Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team environment that encourages professional growth and development.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe nursery environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
• Flexible Working hours between 7.30-4.30. Opportunities to have early finishes depending on ratios and annual leave.

Skills

• Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support colleagues in providing excellent childcare.
• Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential 2 years minimum (This does not include training)
• A solid understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A nurturing attitude with the ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. We look forward to welcoming an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner who is committed to making a difference in the lives of young children!
• Advanced Paediatric first aid Certificate up to date.
