Baby/Preschool Learn to Swim Instructor

Swim Waipa aims to provide an inclusive community programme that encourages fun in the water, builds lifelong water safety, and develops aquatic ability.

We are looking for an instructor for our baby and pre-school classes at Livingstone Aquatics in Te Awamutu. Experience is preferred but not essential. Training will be be provided for the right candidate.

Hours of work will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8.45am-11.45am during primary school terms.

If you are passionate about working with children and their families and have a great team spirit, we are willing to train.

We are looking for  a team member who is:

• Passionate about teaching swimming
• Great at building rapport with parents and children
• Committed, have great work ethics and work well as a team and contribute to the open exchange of ideas and discussion
• Ideally previous experience working with children

Ongoing professional development provided.

The position is deemed a safety sensitive position and will require pre-employment drug testing.

We are committed to the protection and wellbeing of children. This role is classified as a Children’s Worker role under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014. As such applicants will be required to undergo police vetting and offers of employment will be subject to receiving a satisfactory check back.

Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
