Backend Developer

Role Overview

Design, build, and maintain high-performance, enterprise-grade Java backend services and APls supporting critical banking platforms in a cloud-native, microservices environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APls and microservices using Java (Spring Boot).
• Contribute to system architecture, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; champion TDD practices.
• Optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure secure coding practices aligned with OWASP and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum delivery model.

• Languages - Java 11/17/21, modern Java features
• Frameworks - Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA
• APIs - REST, OpenAPI/Swagger
• Stream-processing tools - Kafka, RabbitMQ
• Database - PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis, MongoDB
• Cloud & Containers - Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP
• CI/CD - Jenkins, GitLab Cl, Maven/Gradle
• Testing - JUnit 5, Mockito, TestContainers

Preferred

• Reactive programming (WebFlux), OAuth2/JWT, Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Financial services domain experience (payments, trade, risk).

Education

• Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Java/AWS certifications preferred.
