About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to join a digital engineering team focused on developing innovative financial services and personal financial management solutions.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable back-end services that support digital customer experiences.

The role requires strong expertise in Java, microservices, and API development , together with the ability to design flexible and future-proof solutions.

You will work closely with front-end developers, Product Owners, architects, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality end-to-end solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services.
• Develop robust and reusable solutions using Java .
• Design and develop microservices and APIs .
• Create flexible and future-proof APIs that can support multiple use cases.
• Work within a platform environment and integrate with other services and systems.
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers, architects, Product Owners, and other engineers.
• Identify opportunities to reuse existing services and solutions.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into effective software solutions.
• Consider how design decisions impact different applications, services, and use cases.
• Contribute to architecture and technical solution discussions.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, reliable, and fit for future requirements.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Continuously improve existing services, products, and development practices.

Your Profile

We are looking for a senior software engineer who combines strong technical expertise with good communication and problem-solving skills.

You bring:

• 5+ years of professional experience developing complex software solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java .
• Extensive experience with back-end development .
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture .
• Strong experience designing and developing APIs .
• Experience building scalable software solutions in a platform environment.
• Strong understanding of software design and architecture principles.
• Ability to create framework-independent and reusable solutions.
• Ability to design flexible and future-proof APIs.
• Understanding of when abstractions add value and when they may lead to unnecessary complexity.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with developers, architects, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to react quickly, maintain the bigger picture, and think ahead.
