Back-end developer

About the role

We are seeking a talented Back-end Developer to join our IT and Communications Technology team at AGNOS HEALTH CO., LTD. This is a full-time position based in Huay Kwang, Bangkok. As a Back-end Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side applications and systems that power our healthcare solutions. You will be responsible for building robust, scalable, and secure back-end infrastructure that supports our company's strategic objectives in the healthcare technology sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Design and develop back-end applications and APIs that support our healthcare platforms and services
2. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards
3. Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
4. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality and consistency
5. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise back-end systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
6. Implement security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations relevant to healthcare systems
7. Participate in the design and architecture of database schemas and system infrastructure
8. Maintain and update existing back-end systems, addressing bugs and implementing enhancements
9. Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and monitor applications in production environments
10. Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the development team

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
2. Proven experience as a Back-end Developer with a minimum of 2 years of professional development experience
3. Strong proficiency in one or more back-end programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, PHP, or Go
4. Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
5. Experience with RESTful API design and development
6. Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git
7. Familiarity with web service architecture and microservices design patterns
8. Understanding of software security best practices and secure coding principles
9. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is advantageous
10. Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is preferred
11. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
12. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
13. Experience in the healthcare or medical technology sector is a plus
