BACK END DEVELOPER

About the role

Propelrr is looking for a Back-End Developer to join our growing technology team. The role will focus on developing, maintaining, and improving backend systems and applications that support our digital products and solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain backend applications and services
• Build and maintain APIs and third-party integrations
• Work with databases and ensure efficient data management
• Develop secure, scalable, and reliable backend solutions
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, project managers, and other team members
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other development activities
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize application performance
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Contribute to system improvements and technical solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 1 year of professional backend development experience
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Framework/Spring Boot
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns
• Experience with SQL databases and ORM technologies such as Hibernate/JPA
• Experience developing and integrating APIs
• Proficiency with Git/version control
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Python or PHP
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with AI or automation integrations
