Backend Software Developer

Location: 100% Remote

Job Type: Contract

We’re looking for a Backend Software Developer with strong experience in backend engineering, data pipelines, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on large-scale technical projects and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines and data pipelines
• Strong understanding of backend development, system design, and software architecture
• Experience developing backend applications using Go and/or Python
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and data-streaming technologies
• Experience working with and processing large volumes of data
• Strong understanding of infrastructure and system architecture design
• Proven ability to collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams
• Experience delivering large-scale technical projects while maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and code reviews
• Familiarity with modern technologies such as:
• Microservices
• PostgreSQL
• Kubernetes (K8s)
• Redis
• AWS Services
• Terraform
• Apache Spark
• Scala or similar technologies

Bonus Points

• Previous experience working in a FinTech, banking, payments, or financial services environment
• Experience building highly scalable and distributed backend systems
