🔹 Role: Back-end Developer

We are looking for an experienced Back-end Developer to join a high-performing engineering team in Lisbon. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in backend development, scalable systems, APIs, cloud/containerization technologies, and automated testing.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Champion and apply best practices to deliver high-performance, available, reliable, and secure software .
• Build highly scalable and reliable products, supporting 99.999% availability requirements.
• Develop applications for streaming video and content to millions of users .
• Drive continuous improvement within a self-regulated, cross-functional team.
• Mentor peers and associates while sharing technical knowledge.
• Research and introduce new technologies that provide value to customers.
• Contribute to the complete software development lifecycle, including analysis, implementation, testing, and operations .
• Collaborate with other developers and actively share and acquire technical knowledge.

🔹 What You'll Bring

• 5–8 years of experience in Back-end Development .
• Strong development experience in Java, Kotlin, or similar programming languages .
• Experience with API development , either self-hosted or application-server based.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes .
• Experience working with Relational and NoSQL databases .
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Cucumber, Gatling, JMeter , or similar.
• Passion for innovation and willingness to explore and implement new technologies.
• Strong teamwork, self-driven attitude, and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent creative thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills , with strong attention to detail.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
